Spandana Pillarisetty is living and writing from Mparntwe / Alice Springs on Arrernte Country. They were born in South India, into a world where their grandmother peeled them oranges and they watched Speed with their grandfather after school. They acknowledge the resilience, sovereignty and strength of First Nations people on these lands and acknowledge the ongoing effects colonisation has had on their homeland and here in so-called australia.
