Love letter to my grief

Article by:

To my grief,

Wash me in rain
Wrap me in clay
Siphon the pain
In the sun let me lay

I’ll crack my tuff skin
even my hands had grown teeth
bare open ribs to begin
Sea drenched heart underneath

drowned in my waters
But I needed to dive
To choke on the darkness
And come out alive

bathe you my love
wash out your hair
stretch out your limbs
unravel the fear

remind you my sweet
spine of a tree
even wood turns to stone
when sunk under the sea

so be gentle
be tuff
be however you need
I’ll love you fiercely
For as long as you need

I am my own country
I am my own sun
I will never be small
For nobody
No one

Love,
H
